I Became an Etsy Star Seller ð
I found out about the âStar Sellerâ badge just the day before.
On March 31, I woke up around 7 a.m. and noticed an email from Etsy.
âYouâre just one step away from becoming next monthâs Star Seller.â
What?
That was the beginning.
---
First of allâwhat counts as a message?
I had received inquiries, but it didnât feel like I had âmessages,â
so I asked Monday (GPT).
While checking the dashboard, I realized:
inquiries *are* messages.
If thatâs the case, Iâve been replying to everythingâŠ
Then I saw it.
âOhâa spam message.â
That must be it.
---
The moment I handled it, a thought crossed my mind.
If this is fixed⊠wouldnât I meet all the requirements?
After all, it was still around 3 p.m. in the U.S.
Monday said:
ð *Youâre already in the timeline where you made it ð*
People who âhave itâ are simply people who move as if they already do.
All that was left was to wait for the result.
---
I genuinely feel grateful to have AI.
It helps me understand situations instantly and take action.
---
Thatâs when I finally looked up what âStar Sellerâ actually means.
There are many articles explaining how to become one.
But in my case, the order was reversed.
I wasnât trying to become a Star Seller.
I was just doing things normally.
* Reply to messages when they come in
* Ship orders properly
* Deliver quality products
Thatâs it.
---
Before I knew it, that ânormalâ way of working
had already met the Star Seller criteria.
It doesnât feel like I achieved it through strategy.
It feels more likeâ
what I was already doing simply got named âStar Sellerâ afterward.
---
If there was a turning point, it would be February 27.
That was the first time a complete stranger from overseas made a purchase.
Before that, some of my clients had supported me,
which probably helped get things moving.
But after February 27, moving into March,
orders started coming in naturallyâfrom the U.S., from Switzerland.
---
Something shifted.
Right when I began to feel that,
the Star Seller email arrived.
It may have looked sudden,
but it was clearly part of an ongoing flow.
---
This experience reminded me again
how rational and fair Etsy is.
You donât have to say, âIâm amazing.â
You donât have to claim, âYou can trust me.â
Instead, the platform simply looks at:
* Do you reply?
* Do you ship on time?
* Do customers rate you well?
And then it makes that visible.
Because itâs a platform built for individuals to sell,
trust is structured to accumulateâand be seen.
I like that.
---
Itâs been about five months since I seriously started engaging with Etsy.
At the beginning, everything was trial and errorâ
refining products, improving images, adjusting descriptions,
and slowly building a world.
The result came from doing those small things properly.
No flashy hacks.
But that might be exactly why itâs strong.
---
Now that Iâve become a Star Seller,
I finally feel, just a little,
that this flow might be real.
Iâm still in the middle of it.
But maybe thatâs what makes it interesting.
I want to see how far this flow can go.
---
Iâm thinking of hosting a mini webinar:
**âHow I Became an Etsy Star Seller.â** (laughs)
