昨日、クリムトのバッグが届いたというご報告もいただきました。いろいろとありましたので、ようやくお手元に届いたようでホッとしました。早速、写真付きでレビューまで書いてくださって、流石と思いながら、感謝しました。
昨日、私もゴッホの実物を手にすることができて、思っていたより軽くて、そして色の鮮やかさに改めて感動しました。
日本では全面プリントできるこの型がないんです。アメリカのプラットフォームで全面プリント両面を見つけたときには、心躍りました。そこで思いついたのが、同じ画家の異なる作品を両面に配置するというアイデアでした。
一般的なバッグって、片面だけだったり、両面が同じ絵だったり、1枚の絵が全体に広がっているデザインがほとんど。でも私は、異なる2つの作品を選びました。ただし、同じ画家の、つながりのある絵を組み合わせることで、バッグ全体に一貫した世界観が生まれるんです。
商品写真では片面ずつしかお見せできないので、今回、つなぎの部分の写真と動画を撮ってみました。両面のアートがどうつながっているか、見ていただけると思います。
今回のデザインは、ゴッホの《花咲くアーモンドの木の枝》と水色を背景にした《ひまわり》の組み合わせです。ゴッホの色彩って本当に鮮やか。特に、甥の誕生を祝って描かれた《花咲くアーモンドの木の枝》の澄んだ青空と白い花、そして背景の水色とひまわりの黄色が美しいコントラストを描く作品を選びました。
アートを纏うって、それだけで会話が始まるきっかけになると思うんです。そんな日常こそ、ラグジュアリーですよね。

A Bag That Wears Two Van Gogh Masterpieces
Yesterday, I received messages letting me know that the Klimt bags had arrived. After various delays, it was a relief to hear that they finally reached you. You even took the time to write reviews with photos—something I truly appreciated.
I also had the chance to hold the Van Gogh bag in my hands yesterday. It was lighter than I had imagined, and once again I was struck by the vividness of the colors.
In Japan, this particular bag style cannot be fully printed edge to edge. When I discovered a U.S. platform that offered full-coverage, double-sided printing, my heart leapt. That was when the idea came to me: placing two different works by the same artist on each side.
Most bags feature artwork on only one side, or the same image on both sides, or a single painting spread across the entire surface. I chose something different—two distinct works. By pairing related paintings by the same artist, the bag holds a coherent world of its own.
Because product photos usually show only one side at a time, I took photos and a video of the connecting edge this time. I hope you can see how the two artworks meet and speak to each other.
