Azabudai Hills × ART Tee
Yesterday, after a face-to-face session with a long-time client, I was invited to an exhibition at the Mori Art Museum, so I went to Roppongi Hills. After that, on a whim during window shopping in Roppongi Hills, I headed to Azabudai Hills. It had just opened at the end of last year, but the crowd had already thinned out. As I casually went up the floors, I found myself in a bookstore.
Then, right in front of my client, was a collection of works by a Black artist from the Mori Art Museum! The cover was in English and not immediately clear at a glance. It felt like we were drawn to it. Many of the works we had just seen were featured there.
Furthermore, the corner we stumbled upon was a section crammed with too-free expressions of such artists in an art book corner. It was exactly the kind of work by people who create something out of nothing, which we had discussed in the session today. This coincidence seemed like a message from the universe. It was a moment of touching the source of creativity.
My client, who also enjoys photography, took a photo of me, as the place I was standing perfectly matched my outfit for the day. I was also in need of a photo of my original T-shirt, which was fortunate.
Today was a contemporary art exhibition, so I wore a contemporary art T-shirt drawn by my sister. I paired it not with casual bottoms but with elegant wide pants with pleats, adding contrast with a sporty black jacket. I chose a silver necklace and bracelet for accessories, and a white leather bag to break away from being too sporty. Grey mesh sneakers added a sophisticated urban style. The simple coordination made the T-shirt design stand out.
An ART Tee alone has artistic quality and a color accent effect, so everything else just needs to be simple, which makes for an easy coordination that can create the maximum effect with minimal items! It's a concept that is very much like me. (Laughs)
It looks like I will be able to take more photos with ART Tee coordination in places that are typical of Tokyo in the future! A new creation has already emerged. The cherry blossoms will bloom, I'm sure.
P.S. I am currently working on an Art Tee with a trendy oversized silhouette featuring "Monet's Water Lilies" × muted colors! It's not a typical composition, featuring lilies on a pond with clouds reflected in the water.
